August First Friday opened our new secondary gallery area and featured the interactive installation entitled We're Fans, which activated both of the spaces simultaneously. The gallery visitors really gave us a workout that night!! See video of the setup and more photos.

The WMC summer crew has been hard at work, doing a bit of demolition in the back area of the gallery. Over the course of the summer this space will be refurnished into another workable gallery area, so that we can accomodate almost twice the amount of people and artworks/happenings. Be sure to visit each First Friday, and soon we'll have a grand opening for our secondary space!!

The gallery floor recently got a makeover courtesy of the backbreaking labor of a group of grad students. They scraped away a few years of floor paint and left behind a beautiful concrete surface that will be a great foundation for many artworks and installations to come.
